Services

Sunday Worship ~~ Our Sunday morning services consist of prayer, worship, music, and a message from the Bible as it relates to our lives, as well as communion each week. The service is about one hour and 20 minutes and typically follows this order:
Call to Worship:A reading from the Bible and a short word of prayer
Music: Two or three contemporary worship songs sung as a congregation
Welcome and Announcements
Music: Usually a hymn
Message: From the Pastor
Music: Two or three contemporary, mediative songs designed to respond to the message and prepare our hearts for communion. Sung as a congregation.
Communion: All those who have accepted Christ as their Savior are welcome to participate as we take communion. The bread and cup (grape juice) are passed through the congregation while seated. (If you're not sure whether this is for you, just let them pass by.)
Music: One or two lively contemporary songs to inspire us as we tackle the week ahead.
Benediction: From the Pastor
Children's Church ~~ Children in fifth grade and younger start out in the Worship Service and then are dismissed to Children's Church upstairs in the Annex after the announcements. (The littlest ones -- infants to age 2 -- can go to the nursery downstairs in the sanctuary.) Children's Church looks like this:
Puppet Show/Skit: Usually done by older children and teens on a rotating basis.
Welcome/Birthday Announcements: For all the kids, then the two through five-year-olds meet downstairs for crafts and story time.
Teaching: An age-appropriate bible lesson taught by an adult.
Songs: Sung by everyone.
Snack & Conclusion: Children meet back up with their parents after the Worship Service.
